In 1984 Pastor Mitchell was called to “Preach the 
Gospel” and was licensed by his father in the 
ministry, Baptist Church, Dallas, at that time.  
Under Pastor J. until he was called to serve at Mt. 
Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Hamilton Park, 
as Assistant Pastor to Bishop Miller Johnson Jr., 
who also ordained Pastor
In July of 1998, Pastor Mitchell was called to 
Pastor our family here at United Missionary Baptist 
Church, and has continued to lead us for 17 
years.  Our Pastor is a man of courage and 
perseverance.  He has shown us how to stand 
through trials and how to wait on God to work.
And not without saying, our First Lady, Minister 
Mitchell, is a Proverbs 31 woman; a virtuous 
woman.  supporting the ministry.  Although her 
responsibilities as a wife, mother, first lady, 
Minister, leader, teacher, co-worker, and friend 
can be challenging, she remains faithful to God, 
family and friends.  First Lady serves as a Sunday 
school teacher, and director of Women on 
Mission.
